Kickelob Ultras jumped out to an early 3-0 lead and never gave it up, winning the title game 8-5 against the undefeated #1 seed, Sit on my Base. Sit on my Base mounted a thrilling comeback against Kickelob Ultras during the regular season, handing KU their only loss in a 13-12 game. This time though, it was not enough. Some good defense at 3rd base and a flurry of big kicks saw Kickelob avenge their only regular season loss and defend their title.
To get to the title game, Herniated Kicks defeated a 9-person Maple's Minions team 11-10, in a game that saw Maple's Minions put together a late rally that fell just short, as they just couldn't get the tying run in after having the bases loaded with 1 out in the top of the 7th inning.
Kickelob Ultra used a big 1st inning in the first semifinal game, scoring 13 runs with 2 outs, and cruised past their longtime rivals Oddballs.
Herniated Kicks, fresh off their thrilling win in the 4 vs 5 seed play-in, took Sit on my Base 3 innings tied 0-0, until Sit on my Base broke through in the 4th and pulled away in the 5th to set up the 1 vs 2 seed title match.
